Consultations
for dietary needs
Food sensitivities suck. I know because I’ve lived with celiac disease and a sensitivity to milk proteins for many years, as well as recurrent bouts of SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) and histamine intolerance. The at-times crippling effects of these disorders combined with the fear of incurring symptoms have impacted my social life, my romantic life and my career. If there is one thing it did not impact, though, it was my determination to continue making and eating meals full of flavour, colour and joy.
I understand the frustration, sense of deprivation and sometimes even shame that can accompany life with an ‘abnormal’ diet. When you have multiple food sensitivities or a serious intolerance to a common ingredient, it can be confusing and frustrating to navigate the grocery store and pull together a meal that feels satisfying. It can be even more challenging when there are other mouths to feed, perhaps with different needs than your own.

How the Program Works
- Complimentary Discovery Call: Let’s find out if the program is a good fit! You will have the chance to discuss general questions about the service, outline your specific dietary needs and see how I can help you achieve your kitchen goals.
- Initial Consultation: we will look in more depth at your dietary needs and the specific challenges you are facing with regard to food and cooking. We will talk about solutions and start developing a meal plan. I will offer recommendations for books, products and recipes as needed, and share tips and tricks that I use with clients and at home.
- You can book a Follow-Up Appointment anytime you want further assistance.
- If you are newly diagnosed with food intolerances or simply want a more hands-on experience, an In-House Consultation might be a good choice for you. I can help you reassess the contents of your pantry and fridge to fit your dietary needs, and teach you cooking skills and substitutions to expand your repertoire in the kitchen.
